Dr. Denis Matha has 10 years of extensive experience in the field of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines and holds an engineering Ph.D (Dr.-Ing.) in this field. Following a research employment at NREL in the USA (2008 – 2009), he has led a research group on conceptual design and system simulation at the University of Stuttgart (2009-2015) and during that period was planning and working in several larger European R&D projects related to Floating Wind. At Ramboll (2015 >>), Denis coordinates the independent engineering consultancy company’s floating offshore wind activities and lead’s Ramboll’s Floating Wind Team. He is author and co-author of over 35 scientific publications in the field of offshore wind, co-author of two books on floating wind and secretary of the IEC project team PT61400-3-2 developing the international standard for floating wind turbines.
