Frank Ostermann was working more that 8 years for an offshore wind turbine manufacturer (Senvion) before he moved to the foundation designer J-B-O. During that time, he gained a lot experience on foundation design processes from a turbine manufacturer point of view – being involved in different engineering tasks in different positions. In his last position he was in charge of the offshore engineering tower, substructure and loads team. Today, he is approaching the design tasks from the foundation designer point of view at J-B-O, focusing on loads and structural dynamics. The continuous improvement of load iteration process’s methods and efficiency for different types of substructures represents the core of his professional life.
