Sven Voormeeren

Head of Primary Structure Design Siemens Gamesa

Sven Voormeeren has a background in mechanical engineering. Following his MSc studies, he set up a joint research project between Siemens Wind Power and Delft University of Technology, in which he was employed as a PhD candidate. After obtaining his PhD degree in 2012, he joined Siemens Wind Power as an R&D engineer, focusing on offshore load calculations and support structure design. Since 2015, Sven is heading the Primary Structures design team, which is responsible for all tower and foundation designs for SGRE’s offshore projects.
